My entry steps stopped working on a 2007 Winnebago Journey. Is there a circuit breaker that could be popped where I can reset it or something else?

thanks

pete

I don't know how long you've had the coach but, there's a switch beside the entry door to shut the steps off.

The Kwikee Products Service Training Manual has a great troubleshooting section.
Kwikee uses ground to enable functions, the step controller is always "hot". Check both ground connections underneath for the steps.
As others advised check the magnetic reed switch for the door on the entry well wall. All connections must be clean and tight.
If moisture has gotten into the reed switch it will corrode in place. It should move easily.
Use a strong magnet to place above the switch, you should hear a faint click when the magnet pulls the switch closed..
Kwikee has 2 different switches, white and black, buy the same color when replacing. One is NO the other NC.

My Kwikee stopped working but then later would go in and out while travelling down the road. I checked all the wiring for a short. I pulled on the ground wire and was tight. After another day of this, I loosed the bolt holding the ground wire and it fell apart. Replaced the spade connector and has been fine since. Check the ground first, take it apart to make sure it's in good shape.
