2004 winnebago journey hazard lights

My hazard lights don't work. Both turn signals work. Is there a hazard light thing on a Winnebago Journey like on a car. I remember one going out on an auto a long time ago. They changed a small silver thing. If I could find it, i could probably changer it myself. It is on a 2004 Winnebago Journey model 39w. Does anyon eknow if this RV has one and where it is located. Otherwise it is a trip to a dealer and probably 100 bucks to change a 5 dollar part.

I have a 2004 Journey 39w and the flasher button is on the steering column.

I think he's talking about the relay (or some similar term) that makes the flashers flash - not the flasher switch on the column. I don't know were it is but I'll look for mine tomorrow.

It will be on the same fuse panel as your automotive fuses. On my coach that panel is on the drivers side in the compartment in front of the front wheel. Most (but not all) are round, aluminum and about an inch or so "tall". Simply pull it out of the panel, take it to NAPA for a heavy duty replacement,

I went out and looked and do not find the old style round silver colored relays that I was looking for. The relays now appear to be square boxes labeled Bosch. I could not find one that is labeled for hazard lights. My suggestion is to call freightliner to see if they will tell you which relay is for the hazard lights. On my 39K under the hood is a panel with four "T" handles that turn counter clockwise to remove that panel. Behind the panel are the 12 volt fuses and a second smaller box that has more fuses and 6 Bosch relays. The inside lid of the little box identifies the function of those relays. I could not find relays or a fusebox under the dash - they may be there hidden back behind the wire looms. Hope you get the problem resolved and I'd also like to know where the relays located.

I lost my toad brake lights, and my dealer found the fuse behind the electrical connection wall. I believe the right side of the compartment is attached with screws. I am told that the hazard flasher is in the same area.

I agree that the best way to locate the flasher is contact Freightliner and/or Winnebago.

Had to replace mine about a year ago.
Found it hidden in the loom of wires along the steering column.
had to lay awkwardly between the seat and pedels and dig in the loom of wires, it is buried.
It is rectangular and a pinkish browninsh redish color--lol - my gosh thats the best I can remember.
I replaced both of them, turn and hazard while I was at it.
Autozone-- with some standard round ones.

Does anyone have the freightliner help number. I looked on line. The place I got wanted 33 dollars to tell me where the hazard lights Relay(?) is located. Is the freight liner hot line a service of freightliner for owners.

It took me a long time to figure out the fuse & flasher configuration on my Journey. I am not sure I completely understand it ... but when I look for something on the coach itself I generally find it behind the cover under the front hood ...

The fuses for all the trailer connections seem to be in the rear drivers side compartment ... I printed out these pictures and taped them on the metal cover in that compartment

Thank You. I will call Freightliner. I'm not sure, but the turn signals work so i assume it is not a fuse. I think it is what ever makes both turn signals blink off and on. I know cars have a little round or square thingy (maybe a relay). I have changed one on a car many years ago. It was right up under the dash board. I have no idea where it is on a 2004 journey. I lookled but without knowing what to lok for I had no luck.

Here is what it looks like.
This is not THE same as yours but shaped similar. Mine was an off color of brownish/pink and brand name unknown.
On my 2002 Freightliner as I posted before i had to dig inside the wire s along the steering column.

I am having trouble with the 4-way flashers on my 2004 Itasca Meridian also. When they do work, I hear the clicking sound coming from an electrical panel (under a cover) located behind the removeable metal wall to the right of my electrical hook-up compartment (behind the Left rear wheels). I removed the metal wall and the plastic cover only to find these square plastic covered relays. I couldn't determine which one was the 4-way flasher so have put this problem on hold for a while.
