Hello everyone.. we have a 2004 Winnebago brave and we want to remove the bedroom TV without damaging the cabinets. Does anyone have any suggestions

First off welcome to the forum!
From the picture its hard to tell if there is frame work around the tv. If so, and I know you wanted to stay away from damaging the wood work, you may have to remove the trim wood work.

My other thought was some kind of "hook" that you could use to pull tv from the back. Do not know how practical that would be however.

Think about how the TV must have been installed and work backwards. Look for any exterior screws below or on the sides that are hidden from view. Keep in mind they may be inside the adjoining cabinets or even through adjacent walls or from behind. From your photo I’d guess you’ll need to carefully remove that trim around the front of the TV as a start.

It would help if you told us which of the 4-different models of 2004 Brave motorhomes you have. That way we could look up the parts list to see construction details. I looked at all 4 of the 2004 Brave models and none of them look like the photo you posted. The one that looks the closest has the TV cabinet in the opposite corner but without an adjoining cabinet next to it.

That indicates that it’s not the same as your RV, but gives a hint at how to proceed. The outer wood trim has to be removed. And then it looks like a couple or mounting blocks at the top, behind the trim are holding the TV in place.

I’ve attached a photo - keep in mind this diagram does not match your photo. To find your exact year and model look for the placard, usually on a wall next to your drivers door with your serial number and VIN, etc.

Here’s a link to the online Owners Resource pages to find all diagrams, and info about all Winnebago motorized RVs:

I bet it's similar to my '04 Adventurer, I had the same TV. The strap that holds the TV down (as seen in the diagram above) bolts through the floor of the cabinet. Panel under the TV cabinet has to come off to undo the strap.

We have a 2008 Winnebago Sightseer. I removed the TV from the bedroom. I took the outside frame off and under the TV was a clamp attached to the TV and cabinet base. I was able to extract the clamp from the base and pull it along with the TV out. Then cut a piece of Luan to fit inside the base and a piece to go in the frame to make a door.
