My back-up camera still works so I can't help you with that, but here's some general info/advice:
If you don't have an owner's manual, you can download it here:
https://winnebagoind.com/resources/manuals/pdfs/Operator1999/99Chieftain.pdf
Additionally, there are links to wiring, plumbing diagrams, etc. in the "sticky" here:

Your first priorities should be your roof and windshield. Leaks can be disastrous. Read up all you can on Winnebago windshield leaks. Personally, I've found that a strip of Eternabond tape across the top of the windshield moulding solved my problem. There's a current thread on taking care of the roof edges:

And here's a blog with some good info. His is a 2002 Journey but the info is still applicable to your rig:

If your convertor is original, you should seriously consider replacing it with one that has modern multi-stage charging. Your batteries will appreciate it. Mine is located under the stove cabinet. Here's what I used as a replacement:

Progressive Dynamics is another good brand.
I've encountered quite a bit with my 2002 35U, so feel free to PM (private message ) me if you need some advice or info.
Lastly, if you set up a signature via the User CP, that includes info on your rig, you won't have to repeat it every time you post.
Have fun.
