A member sought advice on sourcing replacement parts for the brake booster and master cylinder on a 1972 Winnebago Brave D18 built on a Dodge M300 1-ton chassis. Experienced RVers noted that due to the vehicle's age and Winnebago’s limited documentation on stripped chassis, identifying the exact part can be challenging. They recommended checking for a chassis label near the driver’s side to confirm the specific Dodge frame, as this detail is crucial for finding compatible parts.

Hello all members, I am going to change booster and master cylinder due to brake issue and age. I was looking to see if anyone had information on a 1972 Winnebago d18 Brave for proper replacement part ?
I am on a M 300 1 ton dodge chassis

Thanks
Jason

Sorry but we would be out of luck on two fronts when looking for that info.
One is the age puts it out of the online listed info but the second is likely the bigger problem. Winnebago gives us very little on the chassis that they buy as a "stripped chassis". They consider that out of their area of knowing much about the parts on it and leave us to look to the chassis builders for info.
For sorting closer to what chassis you have, you may find a label near the drivers left side with that info. I suspect it will be a Dodge but exactly which frame, etc. may change the parts you want.
The idea that it is going to be around fifty years old is going to make finding those parts a real trick that may take some salvage yard looking but getting the correct info on exactly which chassis may help avoid getting the wrong things!

I did some rebuilding on the older RV for a time but that was before the internet and that DOES make things a bit easier but still likely to be a trek!
Wish you luck but I recommend taking a big "chill pill" as it may be a slow process to find the right stuff!

Go to RockAuto.com, they have all the parts you need! Make sure your chassis is a 1972 and not a 1971!
