When the rig has sat for a few weeks (at least in cooler temps), the converter sort of makes a noise like the fan bearings are going. I am pretty sure the converter is behind the wall in the pass thru area, but not sure. I have a WFCO 8930/50 fuse panel and it appears this has the separate...
I changed tow vehicles, and so have gone from a 2” to a 2.5” receiver. I added a receiver adapter sleeve to be able to still use my Reese WD 2” hitch. I have recently been told that I should buy a 2.5” hitch instead of using the adapter. Any thoughts on that recommendation?
Ok our camper is a 2011 freedom express 292bhds. My tires are rubbing here and there on the bottom of camper. I am going to replace the springs because it has also started pulling bad. My question is currently we have 4 leaf springs in it. Would there be any advantage to going up to 5 or 6...
I have had a dickens of a time updating the Xite system despite conversations with their service crew. I had Bluetooth connections with my phone but that went out a month or so.
The new files they sent do not seem to upgrade the system.
Just wondering what advice I might get on getting this going
1976 Dodge Sportsman Looking for options on upgrading, should I rebuild current 360 or go to a 5.9 magnum, or 440 big block. i changed the 2bbl carb and intake to a stock 4bb intake and Edelbrock 600cfm carb and it did help. Thanks
We currently have a Starlink gen 2 system at home and few days ago it quit. After checking it out I determined that the router had died most likely the internal power supply. Doing some research it appears that the power supply is the weak link of the system.
Anyway I called Starlink customer...
Has anyone done the CRE3000 install on their Montana? Good ? Bad? I know the road master setup is the way to go, but not in my budget at the moment. Also 6 or 7 leaf springs?
Seeking opinions on whether adding shocks to a tandem axle 5th wheel is worth it.
Have pulled my fiver 20+K miles in the last few years and have traveled over A LOT of crappy roads. And I don't even want to talk about some of the horrendous bridge transitions I've experienced.
Would shocks...

It has two paralleled lead acid interstates in noco battery boxes in front now. With the 400w solar and long days in summer in alaska it does a fine job but I would like to improve on that by adding AGM but not going to lithiums because of the cold here. increase my battery time as much...
In the latest issue of RV Travel, there is an article about an RV fire where a person lost her life. The fire was blamed on a space heater. The following is from the article:
“The reality is that many RV outlets are built for speed and cost, not heavy, continuous loads. They simply don’t have...
Makes my wonder, How many of you have had issues?
Mine is a Gen2. It worked fine yesterday — we packed up and moved — go to the next town and set it up — no dice.
Router never “reachable”. Starlink itself is intermittently “reachable”. Did everything I could find; unplugs, resets, app...
Some may recall, I upgraded my tow vehicle from a Toyota Sequoia to a F-250 6.7. 1100 pounds to 3400 pounds of carrying capacity... what to do with all that extra power and towing ability.
We fell in love with Brinkley and specifically, the Model Z Air 310. We went to the Savannah RV show to...
I just had knee surgery and cannot get down to operate the scissor jack on the front of my forest River Forrester. Has anyone done an electric upgrade on the front of their coach?
Thanks in advance
Bill
I have a 2015 ACE 30.1 that I am looking to change the house batteries to lithium, if I am looking correctly I need to do something with the Battery Isolation Manager that I have no idea where it is located but I guess it would protect the alternator because of the difference between lithium and...
One of the many things on my wintertime upgrade daydreaming list is a potential upgrade to my house battery system. I currently have probably what came original with my 2022 Tiffin Phaeton 40IH (XSH)... I have 6 Napa 8144N GC-2 sized batteries configured as a 12V system.
One option I would...
Hello, New to us is our 2019 3011DS Forester. We picked it up at the end of the season here in Alaska so we haven't been able to use it yet. I am not new to RV'ing but new to the Forester. I was wondering if anyone has upgraded to Lithium in this model and would be willing share pro's/con's...
When our two-year-old Globetrotter 25FBT got hail damaged a few months back, I was days from dropping it off for a full upgrade to the electrical system (more lithium, Victron stuff, etc.). Our new rig, a 2026 Classic 28 RBT, arrives in a couple of weeks. Is it unduly risky to do the...
I decided that I would purchase and try out the product from Kool RV for my two Coleman Mach 3 air conditioners rather than making my own dividers out of foam. I watched the various YouTube videos on the home-made separators versus the ducts made by Kool RV. They had a sale going on back in...
I found the stock front speakers to be "just ok" so I installed these in their place. I used Kicker model #46CSC6934 which is a 3-way, 6 x 9 design I got from Best Buy. One of the selling points for me is that the grilles fit inside the pocket where the factory speakers mount. Also they have...
What have you guys done to upgrade your TV systems? I want to swap out my 12v 32" TV and need another 12v TV or to retrofit a 120v TV. I am curious to see what you guys have done and modified in your setups. Also would be curious to see if you added anything for better satellite connections etc.
I want to thank all of the iRV2 members who coached me through my upgrade to Lithium, with a special thanks to Dennis, d23haynes57, who gave me some really great specifics that made my life so much easier to upgrade with confidence.
I had parasitic drain on my both my chassis and house...
Wife and I have been researching and discussing having a FlexArmor roof installed on our Montana to protect our investment since we purchased it in May of last year. Almost 30 years of RVing I have always disliked the roof system the factory installs. After months of research, I visited the...
Hello to all.. First timer in a Class A. Wife and I are retired and I have a question about accessing the living room tv for replacement, just above the fireplace, but can’t access anything on the back to remove.. need some assistance. Can’t find any YouTube videos
