I cut the sumos when installing fox 2.0 shocks. Gives the rear some movement. I can only think you need more spring, or a helper spring...

If you go with the circuit board, look into Dinosaur electronics. They make better quality boards that is believe are less expensive.

Don't know the model number but other view owners use a Kenwood replacement that is compatible with the existing rear view camera...
