Importing new View to Canada

Looking at a new View (24V) and will want to import it into Canada for registration. Has anyone experience doing this. Looking for any hints or people who have completed this process. Thanks for any help.

OK, I don't new the specifics, but I know that when Winnebago makes RVs for Canada they make certain changes to the model to meet Canadian regulations.

Here is a link to a webpage from RVT about this process with a lot of links to Canadian regulations.

According to the CA website all Winnebagos made in the US are admissible.

I have imported two RVs - a Ford class C and a Winnebago (Cummins) class A - into Canada - both required minimal changes. It is a very straight process and required making engine and safety items conform to Canadian specs including emissions systems.
I would not purchase/import any RV with the Mercedes chassis from a dealer - rather buy in Canada as there are likely significant chassis changes in the emissions and electrical systems required to get it licensed. You will find Cdn dealers will not want to do the changes necessary for Canadian use. Suggest you dig into it deeper as my experience was in 2012 and things may be different now but I suspect dealers will still be reluctant to do the required changes. You should get an understanding of the actual changes that will be required and the cost - you might not be saving anything.
