To me, the Intent would be a downgrade from what you have. Bump to the next Class A up (Vista or Sunstar) with a fiberglass roof like you have. The Intent is a rubber roof entry level coach.

Trying to mechanically fasten it on the 3/8" to 1/2" edge you have tucked in would just damage it permanently. It is thin enough it would crack and split and separate from the fastener in my opinion.
