To seal the crimp connections from the elements, I thinned some 3M 5200 with white gasoline (Coleman fuel) and used a syringe with a long, large diameter needle to fill each of the 104 crimps. Once the gasoline evaporated and the 5200 set up, the crimps were water tight.
