Another small change for winter. I swapped out the static floor heater registers for ones that can be throttled down, in order to better control the heat in various zones. The only room that had this ability, OEM, was the commode closet, but I wanted it in every area. This was an inexpensive swap out, but I also used aluminum foil tape, which Winnebago didn’t bother to do, to ensure the heater tubes are sealed well against the new registers.

The dial in the register to the right, in the picture, is how one turns the vent open or closed, or anywhere in between...

UPDATE! THESE DID NOT WORK AS I HAD IMAGINED. IF YOU SHUT OFF MORE THAN TWO, SAY THE BATHROOM AND BEDROOM IN ORDER TO KEEP THAT AREA COOLER FOR SLEEPING, THE MAIN LIVING ROOM ONES ALSO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF, AS THE BACKPRESSURE IS TOO GREAT FOR THE ADDED AIRFLOW COMING THEIR WAY, AND THE PLASTIC FLAPS DON’T HAVE ENOUGH RESISTANCE AND THEY ALSO CLOSE. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS UNTENABLE, AS THE HEATER WOULD OVER HEAT. SO I REMOVED THE MAIN LIVING ROOM ONES AND PUT THE OEM ONES BACK THERE. LIVE AND LEARN...

It’s a direct replacement of the OEM registers, which I bought on Amazon.
