I was looking at the nice photos of your Adventurer. However, in looking at the one of your tow bar and hitch, it strikes me that you have a lot of excess length, adding unnecessary and potentially damaging leverage and force on your hitch. If this were mine I'd modify the drop receiver so the vertical piece was as close to your trailer hitch as possible. Hopefully this can be done by drilling another hole rather than by cutting the tongue and drilling, but, if the tongue is solid, you may need to get this done professionally. In my situation, my drop receiver was fine but my ReadyBrake unit added excessive length so I shortened the tongue on my tow bar to match the shorter version sold by Blue Ox.
