Problem searching

I'm trying to use the search function but when I click on the text box it disappears. I'm using a samsung a8 tablet and the stock browser which I think is chrome but not sure about that. Anyone have a solution or tip?

Jim, are you clicking on the forum's Search in the gold menu bar OR the Google Search in the gold box to the left of your Username and info above the menu bar?

The forum search is the one I having trouble with. When I click on the text box, it just disappears.

I don't have any Android device to test this on. Sorry.

No one else has reported this issue. Have you tried the usual thing of rebooting the tablet?

I tried it on my Chrome browser with no luck duplicating the issue.

Hi Jim,
The upper site-search text box just accesses Google with a site search. Here is an example of the format when searching for the word trailer:
https://www.google.com/search?q=trailer&sitesearch=winnieowners.com
