Lost Post - About to give up on solar

I just finished a long post about solar problems with the same title above. However, when I hit send, I had been disconnected from the forum...probably because it took too long to finish the post.

Is there any way to recover that post?

Sorry, no.

When writing a long post tap the Preview or Go Advanced button every 10 mins or so to reset the time out clock.

When you are typing a post that is happening on your device not on the forum’s server. After about 20-mins of no server activity the software removes your login credentials. Previewing your post communicates to the server that you are still there and active. Thus, resetting your login credentials.

Thanks, I think for one that long, I'll type it out in Word and then cut & paste it into the forum. It's going to take me a long time to recall all that info.

I do the same for long posts.

FWIW I learned about the control z trick. Issuing that command restores any edited text to its previous state. I am always typing at my laptop sitting on my ample lap which sometimes erases whole paragraphs and once in a while, everything. Some crazy combination of stomach trash does it, but 99% of the time control z restores it.

I usually do a "select all" on the long posts, and then a "copy/paste" into a blank text doc and save it on my desktop before hitting "post". I've lost a few novelettes over the years, and it is annoying and frustrating.

It really is. I'm just going to take a break and eat dinner before trying it again, but will do it in Word and then copy it to the forum.
