Purchased MM 2100BH in October....so far so good.

Hi all! Love a good forum! Bought him new in JAX FL to live in full time for work. I travel as a boat captain with a marine construction company. Bought the BH model to possibly travel with my teens, but in reality probly won't happen, or they will want to sleep in tents outside anyway.
Would love to do a loop out to AK someday, so that's why I didn't bump up to the 2225RL which I really love also.
...anyhoo...

Aside from sorta maybe using the bunks buying the model was to utilize the bunk space and repurpose into storage and office work station that converts to just one lower bunk. Basically multi purpose the area. Here's the rundown of the setup I'm using and thoughts in no particular order.

First addition was dealer install on slide topper, and couldn't be happier. Keeps slide clean and dry.

Pulling it with a 2006 4runner Sport V8, with factory tow package. Max GVW 11.5K or so I think Max tow from Toyota 7K. Rig Came with 4 point equalizer hitch and it's noisy but incredibly effective .

Mods to tow vehicle. OME sport 9000 shocks and struts. OME off-road springs front and back. Light duty {manufacturer term} rear , medium duty front due to V8 Can go in more detail elsewhere on that.

Basically a 3 inch suspension lift, which actually brought me within 3 inches of hitch height. This trailer is HIGH!! BFG KO2 tires 285\70\17 modified C rated . Actually called DT rated, so better ride than E rated, but inflate to 60 psi and good to tow over the C rating. Not a tire specialist but they work awesome so far both towing and otherwise.

The rig tows incredibly well important for many reasons, however since for work I have to go in any but worst possible conditions with less flexibility. Other than speed and acceleration loss, ya dont know it's back there. No sway whatsoever. I like to keep rpm about 2500 max even light with no tow so that's where I keep it. That gets me 60 to 65 highway and cruise about 2.5K without over drive. Jumps in and out of OD on grades so usually I travel in 4. Get the expected 8 town\10 hwy mpg

Using the Bluetooth Curt brake controller which rocks. Love the thing.

That plan plan briefly....
1 Sofa in place of dinnette. Want to get stock sofa that is offered in this model so sofa will sit @ proper height relative to slide platform height. If anyone knows model and brand they are using that'd be great. Posted a thread on that also.

2 repurpose bunk area to create workstation table \convertible to one bottom bunk utilizing current dinette table and bracket. Reinforce rear wall for this. hooks, hangers and shelving solution to hold gear and linens on front wall and sides.

3 add 2 or 3 more panels, inverter, lithium for off grid.

4 12V TV and possibly alter entertainment system location

5 bathroom needs help....not even a mirror in there, no sink or cabinets. Kinda sucks, and almost didn't buy this rig because of it. So working out some easy options that don't add a ton of weight. Folding shelf to hold a basin, stick on shelving, maybe medicine cabinet, no much support in the walls though.

Thanks in advance for the help and support , and glad to have a great forum available.

Hi R,
I have looked at the Micro Minnie 2100 Bunk House floor plan before, but I never noticed that it didn't have a vanity in what is just a ½ bath. I wonder if you could attach a swing-out mirror on the TV mount; on the kitchen sink side? Perhaps bathroom items could be stored in the cabinet over the kitchen sink?
Also interesting about the relatively high trailer. My neighbor has on-order a Ram 3500 Crew-cab Single Rear Wheel 4x4 Diesel with the full 8' box. He is thinking of buying a small 5th wheel trailer, and the 59½" tailgate height is proving to be a problem for him. So many trucks are higher now, it doesn't really surprise me that Winnebago makes even the Minnie Winnie trailers relatively high.
I wonder if you could find another trailer owner who would now rather have the Dinette, and would like to trade with you?
Welcome to the forum.

Good points, yeah generally I think Winne is in the right track going with more rugged small trailer that has many big trailer features.

My mod description is AWIP, and bathroom I really want to keep in the bathroom. I'd thought of different swing up vanity ideas, even looked at small closet sinks on Wayfair, and tap into plumbing system.

Weighing the options and gonna keep it stock until I use it a.few.more months, look at some other layouts then either sell or mod. Kids haven't even seen it yet I'll get some input there as usual. Love the rear living 2225rl, but this thing just tows so dam nice. Adding 3 feet to the wheelbase and 600lbs to the dry weight could change all that.

Thanks for you input! R
