Oil cap

I lost my oil cap so I went to a parts store and got a cap for a V10 and it doesn't fit. I have read other posts and apparently they put an extension tube on to the original filler tube and the factory cap doesn't fit but no one seems to know what does. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Went out today to take some measurements see if I could figure something out and my toad was sitting there which is a 2009 Honda CRV so I thought what the heck. I took the cap off of it and low and behold it fit. Went to the auto parts store and got a generic cap.....Back in business!

Call the Ford dealer in Forest City, Iowa. They know what fits ! ! ! They sell a lot of them.
