New Winnie Owner

Time to stop in and say Hi!
After getting the kids grown and through college it's time for Mom & Dad to see if they still enjoy camping.

We are also going to get back into 2 hobbies we enjoyed pre-children. Astronomy for me and photography for her and are planning on combining the two also.

We recently found a 2018 new at a local (well, if you call 4 hours 1 way local) dealer in the color and layout we wanted (1790). Price was better than most that I had seen advertised online. Call and confirm that they still have it and then go to our bank to start the paperwork. We drive down tomorrow in our 2017 4Runner (arctic white) to pick her up.

Welcome, TD. May I suggest that you “change” a tire in your driveway when you get home with that new Winnie to determine if you have all the “stuff” onboard?

Thanks guys/gals!

For flats I already have a 4 way (17,19,21,23mm) bottle jack (2 6 ton) with 4 6x2x6 pressure treated boards (2 with a metal backing plate secured with liquid nails) then I have the standard tool box that I'll complete once I find if it's (probably is) primarily metric or SAE. This worked well with the older trailer (29 footer) we had when the kids were small.
Also have TPMS devices that work with my Garmin Zumo 550 that I normally use on my motorcycle.
I'm researching RF tires that work on trailers, but so far not successful for the 14 inchers. That would be the best of both worlds.

Taken within 30 miles of the house. Dogs woke me up at 2am so this has been a 19 hour ordeal!
But I think it will worth it.

Now it's parked and time to go take a LONG winters nap in the summer!
