Smile New to RVing in SE NC - Castle Hayne

Hello all
My wife and I jumped in and purchased a 2019 Winne View 24V. Only camping I ever did was tent camping. Have spent 3 weeks reading, buying stuff and getting comfortable with our View. We plan on a couple of local weekend trips and the are heading out to SD & MT. Will probably pu 4M miles or more on by the time we get back home.

Hi Jack,
The 2019 24V is a great floor plan for two. Hopefully, you have your oil changed and everything all checked-out. 4,000 miles is a long trip, but it should be fun. I think I would like to do something similar, but for now I have just been making local trips. Are you going to see Mount Rushmore?
Welcome to the forum.

Early this year we camped at Carolina Beach State Park, a bit south of Wilmington. Nice, rustic, no hookups campground.

The oil & filter didn't need to be changed, but I did it anyway. We have been to Mt Rushmore, have seen the Badlands, Deadwood and a number of the other area sites. Our daughter (and her husband) are in Rapid City, as she is travel nursing. So we plan spending a week with her, seeing the sites on the way out and back. We have a weekend shakedown trip scheduled in Myrtle Beach before we go. Jack

Before we built in the area, we rented a house in Carolina Beach. The state park is neally nice. Did you see any Venus Flytraps or do any kayaking ? Jack
