New to Forum.

We just found this forum, but are not new to RVs. Our first was a 94 Warrior on the Toyota chassis that we bought in 2006. It was a great introduction to RVing as it was inexpensive and we had no idea of what we wanted or how we would use it. The initial plan was to use it for a year and sell it since it cost less than the first year depreciation on anything we could buy new. Little did we know that there is a cult following for the Toyota RV's and when we sold it five years later we got what we paid for it.

Our second RV was a JayFeather 25Z trailer. We were less into touring and more into staying at one campground for a while. Since we already owned an F-150 with a V8, the TT seemed like a natural choice and we kept that five years as well. We decided to take a break from traveling and sold it a year ago.

Over the winter, we decided to buy a small motorhome and found a lightly used, one owner, 2005 Itasca Spirit 24V. Small enough to store beside the house and use for touring without a toad, but powerful enough to take one if we decide to stay for extended periods somewhere. There is more than enough space for the two of us on extended trips.

So far we have taken several short trips around the state to shake out the bugs and will soon be taking off for the summer. Stop by and say hello if you see us at the campground.

Welcome, Team, to the Winnebago family. All the Toyotas I see in SoCal are junkers and there are not many of them.

They would all be over 20 years old by now and some over 30, so I think you could expect some problems, but we see several around town all the time that look pretty good. Ours was a Winnebago, so we have been in the family for a while now.
