Cool New Member Solis Pocket DAMAGED ALREADY

Traveled from Michigan to Iowa to pick up our Pocket at Lichtsinn RV. \\

Transaction was great. Headed east and we were 1/2 a mile into Michigan and I hit a deer totally disabling the van. 600 miles on the odometer

So now we are just waiting on repairs at our local RAM dealer. Hopefully our December trip isn’t canceled.

OUCH! and WELCOME!

I feel your pain that's horrible luck. Let's hope it doesn't take too long to fix and you are on your way.

I once bought a new car and took it right from the dealership to show a friend and parked it on the street. While my friend and I were standing inside his workplace, looking at the car through the front window someone backed into the car and smashed the front end.

So, I kind of know how you feel.

Ugh! I cried a bit reading your post.

I’m full time in my 2021 Pocket and just knocked 20,000 miles boondocking with only 15 nights in paid Nat Park/other Fed or State campgrounds all over the country. Headed to Baja in 4 days for the winter.

I share that to say it’ll be OK and your Pocket will still love you as much as you love it and it will take you all the places you want to go. It just might be a tad delayed or altered in the short term.

If you ever need ideas, solutions or just wondering about something quirky with the rig, I’m very happy to share. Highly likely it’s crossed my radar over one of those miles or a 100.

Consider this addition to your Solis

Hi,

You might want to consider adding one of these to your Promaster. I did and it was pretty easy to install, and very good protection against animal collisions among other things.

good luck !
