New 2023 Travato 59 Member

Hello,
We (wife & I) pick up our new (2023) Travato 59K next week.
This is our 3rd RV to own. First had a View, then went to a pull-behind, now excited to get into a Class B.
We live in Littleton, CO
I will be interested in info specific to my model and any other meaningful information that may apply.

Thanks
David

Hi David,
I have seen many posts about the 59K, which you can find here with a site-search:
59K
That is going to be a fun rig for you two!
Welcome to the forum.

Hi again David,
I was just up at my local Winnebago Dealer yesterday, and they had just about every model except ZERO Minnie Winnies. I wonder how long folks are waiting for those to get built now?
I did see several Travatos. Did you custom-order yours or take it out-of-inventory? Very exciting to get it this week!!!
Thanks, Eagle5

Out of inventory, they said orders were taking up to 9 months!
Buying from LaMesa RV, in Alb. Unit is in their Phoenix facility.
We had a Winnie View 24 J 2017 model in past, liked it a lot, sold that went to a small trailer, Intek Sol Horizon, like that too but don’t really like pulling a trailer. Now we think this Travato will be just right. (Goldilocks “too big, too small, just right”)

I believe you like the Travato for the same reason I like the Minnie Winnie 22M. Big enough to live in, but still small enough to park in a regular parking spot. Of course, your Travato is a little more "regular" than my Minnie Winnie.

Hi ya David. We had 2 Travatos and really enjoyed them. A lot things we liked, a few we didn’t. We went with a 22M because we’re spending more time on the road. We like the larger fridge and freezer in the 22M, but we like the Truma water heater in the Travato better. There’s a great Facebook Travato owners group if you have that. Enjoy your new rig! We did purchase a hitch mounted spare tire carrier. If you do get one, look at the type that swings away from the rear door. That way you’ll have another exit available in case of an emergency.

Thanks, I’m kinda old school so I don’t like the idea of no spare tire, that’s for sure. Even though I’ve only had to change a flat once in about the last 10-15 years, good tip on the rack.
Looks like I’ll be picking it up Friday September 30 in Albuquerque. Looking forward to it!

I plan on using it some for road trips as well as camping, so wondering if I can do a “mini” winterize, meaning blowing out the fresh water system and only putting antifreeze in the gray & black tanks? Thinking that way I could be up & running quicker. Has anyone done something like that?
