I’m back in the market for Class C motorhome

In 2014 my wife told me to start researching RVs. I did a lot of research and narrowed it fown to Phoenix USA or Winnebago. We went to the Tampa RV show in 2020 and we decided we really like the Phoenix USA 2910. Then Covid happened and the prices shot up on RVs. Gas prices were up too, so I quit looking.

This week my wife asked me to start looking again. There aren’t very many PC 2910s around, so I started looking at Winnebago Aspects. I’m looking at later than 2016s because that’s when they went to a six speed transmission. And that’s about as old as I feel comfortable with.

We hope to retire next year, so we are excited to try RVing.

Greetings Ron,
I was checking-out the length of the Phoenix USA 2910 and at 31', it would reduce your potential parking spots. I like the Aspect (last year of production was 2017,) but I would also consider the Minnie Winnie (a very well-established and reliable design.)
Have you and your wife ever rented a motorhome before? My wife and I rented all four sizes of motorhomes from Cruise America (the 19', 25', 30', and the Truck Camper) before we decided what was the right choice for us, which was the Minnie Winnie 22M.
When looking at an RV Show, one tends to select a favorite based upon the interior floor plan, but other factors are:
  • Are you going on exploration trips where you are at a campsite for a night or two, or a destination campsite where you might stay for a week or longer?
  • Do you want to tow a toad to explore (not so much required for shorter motorhomes.)
  • Do you want to use your motorhome for day trips, or trips to a doctor who is located a few hours away?
By renting first, you can refine your taste in what you really can enjoy for what should be many years to come.
Welcome to the forum.
