Hello! Power Issues with Vista 37’

Hello, just introducing myself. I just found this forum when looking for solutions to my electrical issues. I have a 37 ft vista. My 50 amp breaker tripped when I turned on both my heat pumps. My GFI is also now not working. I can't get it to reset. I read that the inverter may have a gfi tripped. Where might I find that? Also, why does my 30amp work, but not 50amp?

Greetings Dauphinais,
What is the year of your Vista, and the floor plan? That helps folks here with your questions.
Yes, inverters do have a Ground Fault Interrupter <Reset> button on their front panels.
It it possible that one leg of your twin-50 amp service pedestal is switched-off? That might explain why only some of your 30 amp internal services work.
Welcome to the forum.

You might find alot of good information here

https://winnebago.com/owners/owner-resources

Are you plugged in to 50 amp service? Make sure both legs have power, use that trusty multi meter to find out.

On your breaker box in coach make sure both 50 amp breakers are on.

Explain statement my 30 amp works but not 50. Are you plugged into a 30 amp outlet?

One last thing welcome to the forum. It will be really helpful to folks if you put information about your coach in the signature block i.e. year, model that kind of stuff.

i have a 2017 27N vista. My inverter is in the first bay outside next to the door. It is tucked away up in the left corner. not sure all will be in same place.

So, yes, I am now plugged into 30 amp. When plugged into 50, nothing works.

Another question please.
In reading the owners manual for 2013 Vista it states that you could have either a 30amp or 50amp unit.

Your coach may be equipped with either a
standard 30-amp system or an optional 50-amp
system.
NOTE: Some parks do not have 50-amp service
available, so you will need to connect to
a standard 30-amp service pole using an
adapter.
If your coach is equipped with standard
30-amp system, you cannot connect to a
50-amp service. Do not use adapters to
connect 30-amp systems to a 50-amp
service or you may cause an overload on
electrical system components

So look at your breaker panel and let us know if you have 2 50 amp breakers or one 30 amp.?

Is your power cord male in three prong or 4 prong?

I have both 50 and 30 amp capability. I bought a tester and I'm pretty sure it is 1 leg of my 50 amp.
