Hello Everyone just purchased a 2020 Vista

Very happy to own a Winnebago again. Although our Vista is used it only has 7500 mile on it. We are looking forward to traveling and meeting new friends and seeing new places.

My only concern is only 1 Air Conditioner will keep us cool. Have you had any problems keeping cool during the Summer? Thanks.

This one is easy:

If you camp in areas with 70 (or lower) degree highs... Yes.

If you camp in areas with 80 degree highs... mostly.

If you camp in areas with 90 degree highs... mostly not.

If you camp in areas with high 90s to 100s... definitely not.

So, it's up to you and the temperatures, humidity and sunshine you choose to follow.

We have two A/Cs and even both of them cannot keep our RV cool in high temps (95+). The key is to start cooling the RV early in the day, park away from direct sunshine coming in your front window in the afternoon and close all shades on the side of the RV that gets afternoon sun.

PS. Stay away from Vegas, Tucson, Phoenix, South Texas, South Florida, etc in the summer.

Thank you for your response. That is what I thought. Living in Las Veas we are going to hit the above 100 soon. No Motorhome I know of can handle the Desert Heat of Summer. We will be heading to higher and cooler places to enjoy our new Purchase. Time to head to South Dakota and Montana soon. Have a great summer and happy trails to you.

We live just north of San Antonio. So, to beat the heat we don't travel between June and Sept. We stay home those months. And in May and Sept we head for Elevation above 7000'.

This May, we're headed to northern New Mexico and in Sept we always head to Durango, CO or there abouts.
