Almost Rookie purchasing a 2020 Micro Minnie 2108DS

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a 2020 Micro Minnie 2108DS. Do any of you experienced Winnie Owners have tips and suggestions? Neither of us are entirely new to this as we both have owned one form of camper or another before we met each other. This is our first purchase together in the 21 years we've been married, however. Neither of us are 30, 40 or 50 somethings so we're just looking to meet new people and gain some insight into what it takes to live in a camper these days and at our age - Mid 60s and Mid 70s. Did I just admit that?
In any case, we're looking forward to this adventure!

Welcome SheCas, and congrats on your new acquisition
We are also 70 something’s. We’ve had our 2108ds for two and a half years and have almost 15,000 miles on it. We travel for up to two months per trip with about 4-5 shorter trips per year. Our biggest issue with camping with the 2108ds was that in standard equipment form, it’s was unsuitable for the kind of camping we do. Our camping style is about 50/50 boondocking/hookups. Our 2108 when new was totally unsuitable. So, we made some big upgrades to make it more comfortable, and capable of dry camping for several days without the use of a generator.

If you’ll tell us what kind of camping you looking to do, where you are and where you’re going, you’ll receive a fountain of knowledge from other Micro Minnie owners on this forum. Also tell us how your 2108 is equipped and what your tow vehicle will be. It’s very helpful if you add some info to your signature on User CP.

If you’re handy with tools, there are lots of changes you can make to your 2108 that won’t require much money or time, but will add immeasurably to its comfort.

Happy trails
