35G awing/slide topper

Does anyone have a solution for the area between the edge of the awning over the door and the slide topper? We are frustrated with rain pouring in through this gap. With the awning out we can't leave the door open if it's raining because the water runs down the inside of the door. Thanks!

Hi Masonlake1,
In looking at the brochure for the 2013 Sightseer 35G, that sort of gap does not seem apparent. Can you send a photo of the problem?
Welcome to the forum.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. I need to clarify. We have a 2014 Itasca Sunova 35G. The entry door opens up against the passenger side slide. There is a 6 inch or so gap between the right side of the awning and the left side of the slide topper. I'll post a pic later today when set up at campsite.

Hi again Masonlake1,
OK, that helps to know more precisely what you have. In looking at the brochure for the 2014 Sunova, it appears that your 35G is on the cover. Yes, I can see the problem now. In the 2013 Sightseer brochure unto which I linked above, the 33C seems to be on the cover. Notice that the 33C version totally covers the awning of the slide-out. So, one solution is to relocate your existing main awning up & forward so that it totally covers the slide-out awning.
I think I would just shut the door when it's raining.
