Elkman... you've missed the reference here. "Lance" is the name of their Travato Class B Van. They are super into road biking, their Travato is bright yellow. They named it Lance after the biker Lance Armstrong - obviously before his downfall.

So, they are NOT comparing it to a Lance truck camper. They are comparing it to "Lance" their yellow Travato.

Here's a photo of "Lance" their Travato:

Crazy to not say that they are referring to their "Travato" in the post. Lance makes slide-in campers and travel trailers and they should know this.

Surprised that after the Travato they would think that the EKKO was a major upgrade. The EKKO is a half step up from the Travato but at a very premium price and in the price range of the EKKO there are many Class C options that provide a lot more usable living space.

If one is going to consider a $160,000 mini C motorhome it would be worth considering instead a large slide-in camper on a 3500 class crew cab 4WD pickup. A lot more mobility with the 4D truck and when not in use with the camper the truck can be used for many other activites.

They actually say "Lance, our camper van" within the first 30 seconds or so.

They have 80,000+ subscribers and they've been talking for 8 or 9 months about getting a replacement for "Lance." So, for someone new, like yourself, it may seem out of left field. But they had a detailed list of "must haves" and just as detailed a list of "can not haves." And your suggested Truck/Truck Camper would have been on the top of their can not be considered list.

I'd guess they feel they are talking to their 80,000 followers and as such don't think about going back over their details in every video.

I think you are missing the point that they are influencers, a half step up from a travato is not relevant when they are given a vehicle to rep. From a storage perspective the Ekko is worlds better than a class B. When you look at insulation, solar, size of bathroom, towing, again Ekko is not a half step

They also go to Europe and rent RVs over there. They've long asked for an RV like most of the RVs in Germany and England. No slides. Large gear garage. Dry bath. Easy to drive at the destination.

They are tied in to Winnebago and in many ways drive some of the development of some of the models. I'd guess the EKKO is probably about 30%+ based on their wants.

She's a fitness instructor and he's a NASA engineer and they both ride super long distances on carbon road bikes.

They were camped across the driveway from us in Tucson in Jan 2020. Very nice and friendly folks.
