Does anyone know how I go about purchasing optional Winnebago Accessories? Our Destination brochure says there is an available foot rest for the passenger. My dealer couldn't find a listing on it for me. The wife is bugging me to find one.

Have you tried calling Winnebago customer service? If it is listed as an available option they should be able to provide the part number. From there your dealer could order it for you. Of course, your dealer should also be able to locate it on the options sheet they should have.

wthomas1,

You might be refering to the Ultraleather passenger seat with footrest. It is available both ways, the footrest is an option but is built in to the seat.

I never thought of that. I would have to swap out the entire seat. That would make it a very expensive footstool.

Our MH has a built in footrest that my wife uses--it's also called the dash.

My wife is 5' nothing, she would have to be 7' tall for her legs to reach the dash on the passenger side of the Destination.

One call to Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City (local Winnie dealer there on the North side of town) should do it. They normally can sell you parts AND pay for shipping for less than you local dealer will sell you the part. You can reach them at 800-343-6255. And they will also send you a Winnebago parts catalog if you wish!

I think as someone else has said I think you will have to buy a whole seat as the foot rest is not an attachment.

There are other altenatives,,,build a square table and have it padded. A cooler of the right size with a pillow on top? Keep your drinks right under foot. Bolt a piece of wood (extender to the dash and pad it. If you use a removeable pad it could also be used as a desk. Move the seat forward and see if she can then reach the dash..Sell the vette and buy a seat like you want. You didn't say what motorhome you have so these may or may not be options.. Good

Both Pat and I were uncomfortable with the height of the Driver and Passenger seats.

I built a riser for the floor mat 2" high and we are now very comfortable and Pat no longer wants a foot rest or stool for her Passenger seat.

I just spoke to Winnebago and they tell me the foot rest is a seperate piece of furniture. I will push my dealer to find out how to order it.

The Destination entry door is midship but it is designed like the entry door is supposed to be in front of the passenger seat. With the seat all the way forward you would have to have some very long legs to reach the dash. The Corvette is not for sale, my grandsons would kill me.

You will find a better price at Lichtsinn I am willing to bet. I have went to them for many items -- both small and large and they are very good to deal with and quick on the shipping. Has already been suggested by others but, I highly recommend them. They get items directly from the factory, if I am not mistaken, and it always fits and is right.
