I believe that the swirls are a graphic distraction to move the eye away from the lack of windows.

Black streaks don't show up nearly as clearly on dark colors. One plus in my book. Our rig has a white base with minor swirly decals in "gold" and "silver"

I know it's not a motor home, but...

How purty is this little pink and white guy that just sold for $8,500.00 here in Hadlock?

Had an all white MH, my only requirement when I bought my current MH was it not be white. Have all white roof but dark colors on the side. No evidence of a single black mark and with 2 AC units it stays nice and cool.
I am by no means a guy that tries to follow the latest fad, all white to me is boring. I wouldn't want all white in a car or in my house. I like a little color and I think that's what the manufacturers are trying to give us with the color options. Ascetics and function are not mutually exclusive.
Dark colors do show dirt more than all white (except the black marks), but then again half the fun in owning something nice is maintaining it. I don't mind washing regularly. I have it detailed 2 times a year the rest of the time I clean it.

It definitely makes a statement, I'm not quite sure what the statement is
