What Soap to Use?

Hello!

We just bought a Minnie Winnie 22R and am figuring this thing out. Are there special dish soaps or shower soaps/shampoos we should be using? Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Whatever works for you. You will be dumping into sewers designed for household waste. Granted some will be septic systems so go easy on the chemical additives.

We use soap/shampoo that we normally use in the house.

Only thing you might want to change is the toilet paper you use.

you don't need that. we use single ply Scott's but before you stock up on ANY brand take a look at this thread.

and use any soap or shampoo you want...no issues as far as RV plumbing goes.

I have heard stories about TP but in all the tests even the slowest to dissolve.. By the time I got my pants up and went out side and pulled the handle.. Time enough will have passed.

There are some soaps NOT recommended for septic systems. I would avoid those.. Alas I do not know what they are.

I use: In shower.. Irish Spring and Whatever shampoo/conditioner/body wash is lowest in price (often White Rain) Kitchen is Dawn Platinum . Not one of those is chosen out of respect of the waste system.. Happen to be the products I like best. TP preference is Scotts Naturals (no roll in the center so I save rolls, and make one cut lengthwise, small it down a bit and insert it.. a different dispenser/holder would work too but mines needs the center roll) or Angle Soft or Stotts regular...

Scotts regular was one of the faster breaking up toilet papers.
