What size is my mattress

Ok so working on the "only dumb question is the one not asked" I have a 2000 Winnebago Journey 36G. (I say have but its 600 miles north of me and will be till at least Christmas).

Does any one know where I would find the mattress dimensions of the queen bed in the rear sleeping quarters? My wife and I are thinking we will probably spring for a new mattress as neither of us is keen on second hand.

BTW what is DW I see it in a lot of posts and I assume its "other half", "Co-Pilot", "Spousey person" but cant work it out. I am sure it will be a DUH moment when someone tells me!

Thanks in advance

Hi Thanks for that. I had found the brochure online and unfortunately it just says Serta Mattress innersping no helpful info on actual size. One of the RV's we looked at had a queen RV that was queen width but shorter. I am hoping that the journey has a full length bed (else I will be hanging off the end!)

nij tp,
On page four of the brochure it shows the Model 36G with a 60 by 80 mattress. The other models had a tv cabinet in the corner and therefore had a 60x75.
This help?

Call Winnebago or the person you bought the rv from. Just a thought.

why not pull out a measuring tape? Are you thinking of replacing it? If so, these guys will make you an AMAZING custom mattress. Ask about the pocketed microcoil

Cost-effective solution--buy a memory foam mattress topper from Costco. If you have a short queen , you may need to cut 5-6" off one end. Jim said it was super-easy to do. He used a fillet knife with an 8" blade & it "cut like butter".

I love the folks that don't read the whole original post:bang head:
OP said the motorhome was 600 MILES NORTH. In anybody's terms that is a long drive just to get a measurement!!!

Thank you for skigramp for the brochure I did not see the info on page 4 as pointed out by dengraham.

And to stik thanks for reading the post and pointing it out to others.

Touche...

My mind must have skipped over the odd wording "(I say have but its 600 miles north of me and will be till at least Christmas)."

Sorry!

Still, pocketed microcoils most comfy thing on earth....

here's a GREAT resource specifically regarding mattresses period.

AND I know for a fact that texasmattressmakers will custom make any size, in any format for you, including height. They make foam, gel, coil, microcoil - you name it.

I'd recommend you get an actual measurement of the space available for a mattress before buying. We found that our queen could be replaced by a king so we put a king tempurpedic that only overhangs a couple inches on each side and sleeps great!
