We've been lucky with our 2016 Journey 40R and have never had to take it back for warranty work. Now, that doesn't mean we haven't had some issues.
If you are going full time or like us on extended trips, we've found that mobile techs are the way to go. Winnebago will not pay the trip charge, but they will reimburse you for labor and parts. You may or may not have to get repairs authorized in advance. Winnebago will often send you the parts which you can install yourself or pay to install. In some cases, they will want the bad part returned. Some of the mobile techs we've used over the years are superior MacGyver kind of guys cause they've worked on everything. It's not like at a dealership where your rig disappears and you deal with a counter person. You look the tech in the eye and sometimes help with the repair.
Having to swallow the trip charge beats the heck out of being stranded at a dealership. You'll also save on fuel/gas which can often be a wash since drop off and pick up at a dealership requires driving two vehicles.
