spare keys

Our 2011 Chalet came with only one key for the outside storage compartments. I was wondering what is the best way to get a couple of spare keys made. They are not the kind of key that you can go to your local Ace Hardware and have copies made. I thought I would check here, before contacting Winnebago or Tri/Mark who made the key in the first place.
Thanks.

Our Ace Hardware had generic blanks that they were able to match and cut for our trimark compartment locks....2005 journey
The blanks just didn't have the plastic covered head and trimark logo obviously.

Thanks, that is certainly worth checking out. I don't care if they have plastic cover as long as they work. Thanks for the suggestion.

My local ACE did not have the blanks so I ordered some and ACE cut them to fit. Here is the site I used to match the trimark blank.

Our local RV repair shop, Indian River RV, carries the blanks and any key shop or hardware store can cut the keys once you have the blanks.

Ebay has 2041 items when you search for "Trimark key". You can get blanks, or keys that are already cut. Winnebago themselves sell them on Amazon too.

Read the number off your key, click, click, done.

Thanks everyone. I will try the local Ace and Amazon. We just got back from our first camping trip in our new-to-us camper. We had a great time, despite the cold temperatures. It has been a different experience camping in a motorhome, but as long as we can spend most of our time outside, it will be worth it.

Wish I had looked further, I just got some new keys made today at a locksmith. $7.50 each and they have to go back for a touch up, not working quite right. I'm going to take the lock off the water fill door so they can have one to test this time. I should have gotten some nice Trimarks on line to look better.

I ordered two keys from amazon yesterday. They are the exact number as the the original. I like the idea of taking the fresh water door along to test the fit. Great idea.

I'm going to order those Trimarks and have them cut at a locksmith, Amazon is only a few bucks plus shipping is only $4.70 for two. I'm not taking the whole water door, just the lock itself which just has a locknut holding it on.

Likes other have said, I searched the internet for "TriMark keys." Had a couple sets made of the ignition, entry door, and compartment doors. Luckily, all of the compartment doors are keyed alike.

Good luck!

Success! I looked on Amazon and found a whole list of keys available. I ordered two of the exact same number and they work perfectly. Thanks to everyone for your help.

Camping World will also cut them for you. They do the engine door key as well.

We had them make several for us at a local RV store and then got our ignition spare keys made at a Ford dealership.
