Sightseer front clip - rain cap.
I have always had an issue with water intrusion at the top front corners. I picture the body doing a hula going down the road...
Shingling Eternabond bits seemed to have taken care of it the last couple of years... 'till it started to lift. My big problem was there was projected to be some really nasty weather ahead.
I had three cervical disks removed/replaced at Johns Hopkins about 5wks ago; so going up/onto the roof was a potential death sentence. (people with disk problems walk like broken toys and often have complementary balance issues)
Instead, I made a band-aid. I only had a day before the forecasted rain/wind was to hit, so I did not take the time to 'shape' the side overhang, but the important part: it has a 'snap' tight fit up top.
I had to do a cutout for the 'now departed' rubber antenna. I X'ed the two center straps. I am not sure the front straps are necessary if the winds are not high, as the lateral straps are well loaded with 3/8's bungee cord.
I used three ladders - securing the stepladders on the side to the rearview mirrors with webbing+buckle and made sure I had great slope for the front extension. A cervical collar 24/7 slows you a bit, but I am used to it.
You could reproduce this pretty easily, but there's one place you may need help: the leading and trailing edges cannot be allowed to stretch ...and they really want to. This has Sunbrella double-fold binding as the LE/TE. The center fabric can stretch and loft in the wind as the starch washes out, but the edges will remain firmly in the grip of the tensioning straps.
