Screw head and large white washer on carpeted floor

Hello All, I have owned my MH for 2 years and have rehabed most of the coach inside and out. I have a question in the cabin on the carpeting just behind the dog house and again just as you step into the bedroom there are these screws with large white plastic washers screwed into the carpet. I'm not at all sure what there purpose is, could they be left overs from the protective plastic put over the carpet from the factory. I can't believe the original owners wouldn't have removed them years ago when the plastic was taken off. I could just take them out, but thinking they might be holding something below.Any Ideas.

I believe you are right about what they are. Are they out in the open? I had some under the couch with plastic still under them.

DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW -- YOUR WHEELS WILL FALL OFF!

Seriously, I'd contact Winnebago and ask, but I think they are probably left overs from protective plastic. How big are the screws? If a #10 or less they don't hold much, if anything. The amazing thing is that they are still there after 12 years, hope you don't have noticeable clean shadows on the carpet!

You're kidding right? You have a 2000 model with those carpet protector screws still there?

This reminded me of an issue a fellow Boeing employee ran into. He was on one of our organization's first trip to Russia. The stayed in one of the Intourist hotels and had rooms on a lowest of the guest floors.

Everyone in the group was paranoid about being spied on. He looked under a rug and saw a fairly big bolt head in the floor. He decided to unscrew it to see if there was some spy gear underneath it. After about a dozen turns, it came out and there was nothing underneath it. The chandelier in the ballroom below his room wasn't fastened to the ceiling any longer!
