Just got an email from our RV dealer about Safe-T-Plus and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

we've got the Blue Ox version (called TruCenter). IMO it doesn't aid in steering.

I have had it about 15 months. I think it has improved handling. It stabilizes the steering in wind and also on rough roads. It seems a little easier to drive longer distances. I hear it also helps in a blow out, but hope I never have to find out. I don’t really see how it would help much.

I hear people talking about class A gasser's and class C's having white knuckle experiences. I bought my class C used and it had the Safe T Plus installed. i was amazed the first time a big truck passed. We did not get blown around at all. in fact often times it's a one handed driving experience. Also handles the wind well. We have been caught out in 35 mile an hour winds and it feels fine. I spoke with another driver of a class C and he stated it was a white knuckle experience for him. In fairness i drive 60 MPH max speed and we also have anti sway bars in the back.

We have the Safe-T plus on our Forza and it helps when a big rig trailer blows by us on the road- helps keep the coach centered in lane.

I had Safe-T-Plus on my 2008 Winni 40' for about 10 years. I'm ready to have the IFS version put on the newer to us MH. I was glad I had the install done on the 2008. Easier handling, easier when trucks pass. Almost automatic steering wheel return to center. They are also a great company to work with.

MacNut, everything I have seen regarding their video's on blowouts lets me believe that it is true. You will hold the line and make it easier to come to a slow stop. Just don't hammer the brakes.

I'm one that would recommend Safe-T-Plus. If you call, I hope Kathy is still there. Great personality.

Thank you, everyone, for your responses. Apparently it may be helpful in a small C. We just made a short trip from the Phoenix area to Yuma and back and the wind was just blowing me all over the place, even with the dually rear tires.

Perhaps I should look into adding this to our Fuse.

We have it on our 2017 Aspect 30J and we swear by it. Living in northern AZ, the winds on I-40 can be brutal...absolutely brutal. We barely feel the wind now when the big rigs are even having trouble. As others have stated, there is little to no getting blown around when the big rigs go by. Easy install!

We installed one on our 2008 itasca suncruiser 35a and felt the results immediately. Steering felt tighter.

We had it installed on our 2007 Vista 33K and it has made a significant difference. The rig is more stable on windy days and bumpy roads. It did reduce the sense of “wandering” and reduced fatigue. So a thumbs up from us.

I had a roadmaster on my Class A gasser and it made a noticeable change on steering as well as handling. So I just installed one on my Class A DP a month or so ago. Haven't had a chance to try it out much but October head out on a long trip so it will get tested then.

I just had the Safety plus and rear track bars on a 31h and it made a world of difference. It handles great and can’t hardly feel a semi passing you.

Prior to Safety Plus I had considerable "wander" with my 07 Sightseer Workhorse 29R. After install 99% went away. It is very sensitive to get the adjustment correct. 1/16 of an inch makes a difference. Once set--no issues. It has been on there 10 years. Go to the web site and note the adjustment procedure. We had a One on the last gas rig we had. It made a tremendous difference! Best money we spent on that coach!

I had it in my 2006 Sightseer 30Q along with the idler arm bracket/bearing and super spring. IMO not worth the money because the motorhome was still all over it's lane. I like to add that I did have brand new Toyo tires, new upper and lower ball joints, new Bilstein shocks and an alignment.

In retrospect I should just have installed a rear trackbar. I have since moved on to a MB Sprinter based Class C which is a pleasure to drive without any modifications.

Hi, I have a 2004 Itasca Sunova that I brought in March. I had the Safe-T-Plus installed by Camping World (no other place close to me) and it has made all the difference in the world to my driving the RV. I can drive with ease and no walking all over the road when truckers pass.Before install I would run 50-53 mph and after I have to keep an eye on the speed and find myself going 60-65 mph.

I just added it to my class C Outlook today, then drove down to Tucson, the difference was significant. My Outlook 22C on the Ford E350 was literally dangerous to drive, the worst driving motorhome that I have ever owned, even did the death wobble if I hit a large irregular patch of road. Now I can drive it with a light hand rather then two with white knuckles. I can still feel trucks but nothing like before, I did not have any side winds today but I suspect that will improve as well. I would recommend it.

I often wonder when I experience the issues I had with my earlier Class A before I added a steering stabilizer and the difference after why manufacturers don't make this a standard feature like the automotive industry has done with so many safety features over the years. Or at least make it an option.perhaps the NHTSA needs to provide better oversight or they and the manufacturers need to read more of these forums as IMHO I think the RV customers provide the best feedback of any industry. I noticed FR finally upgraded the GT5 and other series Class A gassers to 22.5 " tires which is a big improvement over the 19.5" my 2018 had on it. So someone is listening. I know wishful thinking but they would have a lot more happy customers of course quality still has a way to go as well. Thanks

I have had the Safe-T-Plus on two separate RVs. I like it and believe it helps with the steering to prevent wondering all over the road. If I bought a new RV, I would have one installed. Wait for a sale because they are expensive.
