RVX Reveal????

So, in less than an hour Winnebago will debut their new offerings. A leaked employee image on Twitter showed a Class A and the text said it was electric powered. Really? Let's see what is actually revealed at the Reveal.

They've been advertising that the Journey begins. Does that mean there will be a new Journey finally announced? It's about time.

I do know that the website has been redesigned as of today. But so far see no new products mentioned.

Humm, they teased new Class As, but showed the new View, the new Boldt and the new new National Park Foundation Travato. The new Boldt Class B starts at $185,000!

New Boldt

I see the Horizon comes with a 3-yr 100,000 mile warranty now.

Does “Bound by the W” mean anything to anyone? I can’t figure it out.

Similar to “Heartbeat of America” .... created by the marketing department. There are many more examples. Marketing folks are creative

Some of my observations about the new 2020 View ... keep in mind our 24D is a 2018.

- hmmm, no 24G model? ... never could get cozy with the one we had.
- new Sprinter cab area is nice (cup holders, MB infotainment instead of the junk one like ours).
- lane assist, adaptive cruise .... meh.
- new coach access door has no screen door ... too bad.
- windows on both sides of front cap ... nice.
- relocated microwave in 24D ... maybe better, but lost drawer stack.
- induction stovetop ... no real opinion.
- u-shaped dinette in 24D ... nice.
- accent lighting above overhead cabinets ... nice.
- push knob cabinet latches ... very cool, like our 2006 23H had
- msrp ....

Yes, we are. I spent 40 years doing Marketing for hundreds of companies. The last 30 I ran my own Ad Agency. We came up with thousands of marketing slogans. But the first rule was it had to make sense. It had to add something, some characteristic that defined the brand or added value even if it was perceived value.

But, in my opinion, this one is nonsensical and adds nothing to the brand. Bound by the W. Sorry, it's just my uneducated opinion and we all have one of those.

WOW!!! Th View is awesome! I have a 19 NavionD that I like very much and the View is the same as the Navion. I don't understand the need for two different names for pretty much the same vehicle but...
I LIKE the Ion battery option and I would have certainly opted for it. I also like the induction cook top . That takes some juice so I'm guessing you have to have the Ion battery option to get the induction cooktop.

I'm pretty sure it's when Winnebago sold most all of their motorized RVs under both the Winnebago and Itasca brand names. One was a Winnebago and the other an Itasca - though by 2018 there was really no difference between the two brands.

Initially, the two brands were sold at different dealers and Winnebago and Itasca had differing interior color palettes, and exterior color schemes.

They announced in 2015 that the two were being joined together and Itasca was being phased out. In 2018 that mostly happened, but in some cases that meant that there were two models, with different names, all sold under the Winnebago branding.

The Navion was an Itasca and the View was a Winnebago.

To confuse things further there are instances of cross naming too. I have a 2017 Winnebago Adventurer. There was also a 2017 Itasca Suncruiser available that was the exact same RV just different names. However, in 2018 I was an an RV Dealership that had a 2018 Winnebago Suncruiser sitting on their lot waiting for delivery. A search for Itasca Suncruiser shows up 2017 models and Winnebago Suncruisers shows 2018 models. The Adventurer/Suncruiser are identical.

$180,000+ for a 24' class B with no slides and tiny tanks? Wow, I am so out of my element here...

This is a ll great, but the 24g was the floorplan i liked. I like having a separate bedroom as the SO can get up early and make coffee while i snooze a bit more.

I hope they bring it back.
