RV financing

Anyone have any dealings with RV financing.com? We're looking to refinance for lower rate if possible.
Thanks for any tips

Hi - Haven't dealt with RV Financing.com but we just financed a used Journey with Essexcredit.com and they ended up giving us a lower finance rate then what they had quoted us originally without us even asking. Good people and they answered every email and phone call and I had a few.

I have not dealt with folks at that site.

We financed our current rig through Lender #1, after about 4 years the loan was sold to Lender #2, and a couple of years later is was sold to Lender #3.

We satisfied the loan recently with Lender #3. I am sure the amount was correct (extremely close to what my back of the envelope calculations). The only difference it meant to us was where we sent our payments or called when we had a question.

The point of this post is: In today's financial climate do not be surprised if your loan is sold to a different company ... and maybe more than once.

The Good Sam financing and Essex Credit is the same. While searching for banks that do RV financing I found out that Bank of America has lower rates than Good Sam/Essex does. At least on their website.

Will Good Sam/Essex do pre-approvals?

I have found that credit unions and smaller regional banks are pretty good for RV financing rates as well. Its thier bread and butter because they cant compete on high volume loans like mortgages and auto loans.

Thumbs up

We used Essex Credit on our previous MH and we too had a good experience. They were easy to work with and gave us a very good rate.

No experience with them..looked at a few banks..We were going to go with BoA but at financing time Bank of the West beat them...and I was pre-approved with BoA...There are no Bank of the West's on the East coast but I haven't had any issues with them or them me...guess as long as they get they're money then all is well.

Will banks do pre-approvals prior to finding a particular RV? Also how long will they allow the pre-approval to be in place? I want to get pre-approved around September, but do not want be rushed into buying the RV until I find the one I want.

My experience with EssexCredit was I had to apply for a specific RV but if I did not buy that particular unit my information would be good for 30 days I think and would be easily changed for another unit within the same range. This could just be my situation and may be different for someone else.

I am currently working with Ricky Aubrey from Good Sam Finance Center (Essex Credit) and he has been great! Approved for an used airstream ($76K) I found on rvtrader.com at 4.39%. Not approved for a Thor Outlaw ($130K) because my credit history hasn't had big purchases of at 65K+ for at least 36 months. Why am I happy about getting rejected for one of my choices? Because Ricky actually takes the time to explain things and manages my expectations based on my individual circumstance.

Wow 4.39% I am going to have to look at that. My dealer is telling me over 5% and my credit score is over 750. I will have to try them.
