PDI Checklist

Hi
New to this forum.
Will be picking up my new Winnie Adventurer 38T today and was wondering if anyone knows of a PDI check list designed for the Winnie that I could print out or download.
Great site.I have learned a lot so far. Looking forward to some great times.

While the list is not necessarily "Winnebago specific" THIS LINK is to a pretty good PDI checklist...The link gives you the chance to download it in either MS Word or a pdf as well...

If you search the entire iRV2 forum for "PDI" or "delivery checklist" you should also come up with some other choices.

The pre delivery checklist in the link above is a good one. It may have items on it that do not apply to your unit, just skip them.

Make sure your dealer does a thorough walk through with you. Explains how each and every system works. make them put water in the system so that all the plumbing can be checked. check the rear dual tires, you may want valve extenders put on to make checking and adding air a bit less inconvenient.Then ask questions, lots and lots of questions on anything you are not completely clear about. Even if is how to open a cabinet, don't be afraid to ask.

If possible do not sign any final papers or write the check until everything is to your satisfaction. Those little warranty issues seem to get done much more quickly and efficiently if the papers have not been signed.

When that is all done, take it out and have a great time with it. And, BTW, welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge from the people here, come back often, and ask, ask ask.

firestarter, Kazoo tom makes some good points....A GOOD PDI should last several HOURS and should only be considered complete when YOU have learned how to operate each and every system on your new coach.
Being in the "driver's seat" financially is a good place to be as well....

NO QUESTION is a "stupid" question and the time to learn the ins and outs of your coach is THEN, not later....

I would suggest two items to the above comments. First a small tape recorder and lots of extra tapes and a companion to take notes in addition to the manuels. Good luck

thanks for all the help guys, I did the checklist from rebelsbeach and was very helpfuly.
In the driveway now, and looking good. Going for a test this weekend.

Glad to hear everything worked out. When you take it out this weekend make sure you keep track of everything that may be a problem. Hopefully you will have none, but if you do make sure you note it for yourself. When you get back you can decide to fix it yourself or take it back for warranty. Sometimes it is quicker and easier to do the minor stuff yourself, but make sure the dealer knows about it.
