New here- 2011 View- looking to purchase

Hello Everyone- New to all of this. Looking at buying 2011 View for a dealer in in British Columbia. The "house" is great condition and only 2 owners. Wondering about under the hood- 117000 Km's on the vehicle and I have asked for service records. Is there anything I should look out for past or upcoming service? Thanks in advance for helping a new B.

I would want to make sure everything is working before I picked it up. I would also want a good roof inspection with pictures and records of all roof inspections/repairs.

I've heard some View owner's complaining about the generator being loud and thirsty. Make sure you test it and are satisfied with it.

Make sure the generator is performing well. They seem to need service after 6 years if not used a lot. The Mercedes engine is bullet proof so no problems there. Keep in mind, if the engine lights come on while driving or it goes in limp mode and you can't figure out why, shut the engine off for 2 minutes and restart. Usually that will solve the problem. The sensors are too sensitive and get tripped by wind and rain sometime. If everything checks out on your purchase, you should not have many problems in the future. We have put over 100,000 miles with little problems

I don't have any View specific comments. However, we have a 2011 Itasca Reyo which has the same 2010 MB F-50 chassis the View has.

You will love the engine performance, fuel economy and the handling you get with the MB chassis. I average about 15 MPG (not towing). Key to keep the engine and emission control system happy is to work it and to avoid frequent short trips.

If you find one with a the diesel generator I would consider that a big plus.
