 Need some information/help. Getting ready to do some upgrades to my 98/99 Itasca Suncruiser, 99 F53 w/V10. Want to soften the ride and I'm looking at adding the AIR LIFT airbags/suspension offered by Camping World and either the SAFE-T-PLUS or the STEER SAFE Stabilizer. Would greatly appreciate any info or comments from anyone that has or knows someone who has used the products.

I installed a Safe T Steer on my old P-30 chassis and it made a nice improvement in rut wandering.
There was a recent (sometime early this year) issue of the FMCA magazine with an article on handling improvements on a gas coach. They gave road test reports after each suspension upgrade. They added shocks, new sway bar bushings, coil springs, etc.

Mac,alot has been discussed on this subject if you go to "FIND" above you and type in "air bag" you will find what you are looking for and on your F-53 chassis. Leave the check mark or you will get more than you want.

I put AirLift Springs front and rear on my 1999 Winnebago Brave 35C on F53 chassis. Didn't improve ride (may be a little harder), but handling is dramatically improved. Just got back from a 700 mile trip thru some bad winds and rain and never had any "white knuckle" moments. I really recommend the AirLift springs - I also had them installed at Camping World.

Be sure to check the manual. I have a 98 F53 chassis with the 460 V8. The manual specifically says do not install air bag suspension. But that info may be specific for the 460 V8 F53.

Go one step at a time...Try new shocks first, they may give you the improvement you are looking for.
Added Monroe gas RV shocks to a 99 Adventurer and it was a remarkable improvement.
Softer Ride than Bilsteins so thats why I went with Monroe. Good Luck

Hey CSM Mac. I installed a Saf-T-Steer on my previous Ford Chassis MH and it made a dramatic diff with steering wander and rut tracking. Simple to install. Would recomend doing one improvement at a time and see if it makes a diff before going to the expense of additional improvements. Do the cheapest one first.

I took my new A class on two long trips before realising that my tire preasure was to high. I have lowered it to the manufacturers suggested psi and now the ride is smooth as a kitten.
