So @TerriErd mentioned showers in OH rest areas, but did not tell the full story. I contacted the Ohio turnpike and here are the details:
  • Every rest area has COMPLIMENTARY showers.
  • The showers are private
  • The showers are available 24/7.

I wish I knew this years ago when I had younger kids traveling with me, playing basketball and the like (grin). To me that is REALLY nice, and I am glad it was mentioned. I am repeating it here to impress people that it is a very nice feature, even if not RVing.

Thanks, @TerriErd !!!

I think that is just at the Turnpike rest stops though, not at the rest areas in the rest of the state.

I agree, only on i-90. I thought I made that clear but rereading my post I see how it could be misinterpreted. To be clear I only asked about the rest areas on i-90.

It is a really nice amenity. One I probably could have used when I was a poor starving University student and off on summertime Safari.

I have used NC Quick Pass/E-ZPass for a decade. I have used it on 90% of the 19 states that recognize it with no problem at all.

I Purchased the $6.69 +Tax transponder and move it from MH to TOAD when I park and tour in the TOAD. It is what they said to do. They also said to not install the sticker decal as it could cause double billing.

Works for me.

NC Quick Pass/E-ZPass

I contacted them by phone and set everything up. I live in Texas, no problem.
