Nano Protective Coating.

Ordered a new Mini Winnie and was urged to have the exterior and exterior sprayed with a Nano coating. I refused but would like to know what the community thinks about it.
Thank you

I think you made a good decision. I hear it is very over priced for what you get, and there are many great products now on the market that you can do yourself. I have used Wash Wax All for years with great results. The ceramic coatings also look great.

Nano coating

Think you did the right thing. My previous TT (first one) bought the nano coating to help protect from uv and was a total waste of money. Never again. I use a c2 liquid crystal that a rv detailer friend recommended for my motorhome and have a much better finish on this one than I ever saw with the nano coating. I use 303 protectant on the decals and roof to protect from uv fade.

Just one of many dealer offered “gimmicks” to make more money off of buyers. When purchasing an RV (or a car for that matter) they will send the buyer to see the F&I department. Their job is “revenue enhancement” for the dealership. They do the paperwork of the sale but their real job is to attempt to sell financing, insurance, and all manner of truly worthless things to generate income. “Nano Coating” is just one of those worthless things. Hang on to your money and say “No thanks” to everything offered by the F&I person. Even if you want some of the things offered you can always get a better deal elsewhere.

I recently bought a barely used 2020 Thor ACE. The original owner purchased the most inclusive Good Sam ESP (transferred into my name for 50.00.....good deal for me); he also purchased the nano/gelcoat/interior protection package for over 2k.

I do have to say that the HD-Max gelcoat finish (Thor name) is really shiny and it cleans up very easy. Maybe that stuff is not so bad. With that said, I am sure it isn't worth 2K.
