Mounting RecPro Euro Recliner

Two years ago, when we picked up a 2004 Itasca Meridian 34H, DW wanted the shag and tile gone. It got replaced with vinyl rated for arctic conditions (since we have that here to one degree (no pun intended) or another). At the same time she had me take out the love seat and I decided to take out the power recliner, both of which were stock.

Since then we are faced with mounting issues. As near as I can tell, I cannot find a way to mount the recliner and still have it swivel. The limited instructions even point out that the swivel ring is not rated to hold the chair down. Most places recommend tying it to a seatbelt bolt and let it slide around. I don't like that.

Does anyone have any better ideas?

While I am not a skilled fabricator, I can probably make some kind of clamps, but I haven't figured out how to attach the seat and retain the functionality of the swivel.

Ideas and/or photos are welcome!

Thanks.

Our 07 Meridian has the stock swivel recliner. There is a screw type clamp that will hold it down while traveling.

Now with that said, we have never used the clamp. The chair really goes now where while traveling. The way I look at it if we are in an accident that is so severe to move the chair that would be the least of my worries.

I did have a 5th wheel that had two recliners and each was held in place with seat belt type strapes. The belts were screwed to the flooring then went across the arm rest of the chairs.

I replaced the tile and carpet with vinyl flooring, which permits the chair to creep around. I suppose ideally I would like to have a seatbelt so there could be a third person on the road with us.
