I have a 2019 Intent WFV29L and have looked high and low, spoke to numerous folks at dealerships, RV stores, etc. trying to find out the true max towing weight my RV can handle. I have a 28' car hauler (dual axle) I use to haul my nomad to car shows. I would like to use my RV but not sure if it can handle the load. Can anyone offer up any real life guidance or how to figure out the true towing weight of my RV?

Download a copy of your year/make/model brochure from the Winnebago website. All the data you need to figure it out is in it.
As a hint, your hitch/drawbar is rated at 5,000 lbs, with a tongue weight of 500 lbs. You can't safely exceed either of those numbers when towing.
The GVWR or combined weight of the RV and any trailer with its load is only 18,000 lbs and I would guess that the RV itself weighs in at around 13,000 lbs or more and leaves a maximum trailer total weight of 4,000 lbs.Take your RV to a CAT scale and with it loaded as it would be for a trip (including fresh water, propane, fuel, etc) and see what the total weight is and then subtract that from 18,000 to get the maximum trailer with payload that the RV can safely tow.
The trailer hitch receiver should also have information as to its rating for tongue weight and max towing.
