I live in Los Angeles County. There is one dealership near home that is an Itasca dealership but has very little inventory. They said they will not be ordering any Suncruisers, which is what we're looking for. We're also not fond of the way we were treated there. There is also an Itasca dealership in Orange County that doesn't have what we're looking for. When I check the Winnebago website for dealerships it only gives me those two. How can I find other Itasca dealerships in California, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona. We're willing to travel

Thanks Wayne and Roberta. I've checked those dealerships out. They're not carrying much inventory these days. I'm looking for Itasca because Winnebago will not have a model 35L in 2009. Are there any more in Northern California?

If you're will to go a little further, there are several of us that traveled to Marysville WA and bought at Roy Robinson. They have a very good reputation and are both a Winnebago and Itasca dealer.

Service after the sale is good and they give you a good price.

I went there from Nevada and SCVJeff is from socal and bought there too.

YESSIR I did... and it was a painless experience (sans handing over the check). If you're willing to go to N. Cal, Seattle isn't THAT much further.

Also, don't forget the Pomona RV show coming up very shortly. If you're really shopping it would be worth the trip.

I've been pleased with Barbar RV in Oxnard. They are Winnebago/Itasca dealers. It is a small place and inventory seems limited, but worth a call. Also the Pomona RV show is Oct 10th - 19th. A good place to see inventory. You can then order from the dealer of your choice.

Like those words of wisdom.

I bet if you call Winnie, get to the right person, tell them what you are looking for they could tell you who has it in stock in the area you are willing to travel to.
Customer Service, 800.537.1885. Tell them what you want and ask who would have that info...Good Miles and Good Luck

I'd also recommend that you do some surfing and check out dealer reviews. There are MANY who come out with less than stellar reports - and a few of them are on that list.

Check Village RV in Sacramento. They're Itasca dealers and where we purchased in 2005.

You might find low inventory to be a problem across the board, so it's a good thing you can travel.

Find the exact model you want, then go hunting via email and phone. Lichtsinn has a wonderful reputation and an advantage of being close to the factory.

Good luck

Thanks everyone. That's exactly the kind of information I can use. I especially like dealer recommendations.

Just another vote for checking with Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City, right across the street from the factory. Coaches have zero delivery miles and they have a steller reputation, as well as, a fly and ride program. Good luck.

You might also check Findlay RV in Las Vegas as well as Wheelers. Both are Winnie/Itasca dealers and have their inventory on line.

Check Rvtraderonline or RvSearch as dealers list newequipment on these sites and you can put in your Zip and the distance you are willing to travel. Just another thought. Good Luck

We've been to GNR but can't visualize getting a new Itasca there. What do you do about a tow bar and details like that? Has anyone negiotiated a trade-in with pictures and telephone discussions? a

Well, if you drive there, just toss it in the back of the car. I would have done that when we went to Seattle to pick up the coach but didn't have anything installed at the time.

Once you decide that the local dealers are basically yahoos (and I have stories to back that up), it opens up a totally new perspective on what you will pay and put up with as far as a dealer. Barber is the only place I would look at around here, but they're not Itasca (but are Winne warranty).

SCVJeff, I've also heard good things about Barber but they're not Itasca, as you said. Have you used them for service? When you bought out-of-state did you camp in the area for awhile to discover any issues that might need dealer attention before you came home? Did you have a trade-in RV?

I checked RVs.com (affiliated with Camping World I think) and there was an '07 Suncruiser 35L in Roseville, CA. Don't know where that's located.

You might check that RVs.com website to see if there are any at other places.

Good luck.
