Looking for AC help

I have a 2007 f53 2008 sightseer. The AC ISNT WORKING. oops. I’m looking for an AC shop in the lower mainland (Vancouver, Surrey, Langley) area to work on it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Whether or not you do your own AC maintenance, you would really do yourself a favor to know what first steps need to be considered before you talk to an AC tech.

BTW, you did not say if this is your Dash-AC or your basement AC or do you have a roof AC?

Here's some references for a DP, but it may also apply to your RV.

For dash AC go to:

For basement AC go to this link and jump to post #82 and read on:

Interesting but..

Capacitors are so cool until they blow up. What a stench when that happenes. That was a good read/watch but not what I’m looking for.

I was looking for help with the Ford f53 dash AC.

Last year i watched and learned how to use an AC recharger and the engine AC should be properly charged and good (unless it’s. Leaked since). I’m not getting cold air out of the vents. Someone said they could hear leaking air from behind the radio. I took the radio out and ran the AC on accessory so I could hear better without the engine running. I couldn’t hear leaking air.

That’s why I’m looking for advice on who to take it too locally. Hoping someone has a good shop (not like a traveland) and or steps I can take to confirm somethings good or broken.

Thanks

I was going to mention that your two links are for basement AC. I’ll look for the other although I’ve read a quite a few of them already.

Thanks

So found out it’s

An SCS AC unit. Ran for 20 minutes and one pipe was hot but the other barely cold. Thinking that there must be a leak.

I can’t get in too see if the compressor is engaging. Even with the dog house off. Any suggestions on a way to confirm it?

Sorry for listing the basement AC tune-up twice.

For dash AC tune-up go to:

OP: What is dash temp drop?

Temp drop?

I gather you are asking about the temp. Of the vent air. 68 degrees. Last night I put a can of refrigerant in (thought I had one and eventually found it) and that brought the pressure up to 27-28lbs.

But the view window shows bubbles and 68 degrees isn’t even close.

Still looking for an AC shop recommendation.

Thanks

So I ended up taking the RV to a friend that has his own AC machine. Right off the bat he said there was oil in the low pressure input cap. Meaning he expected the Schrader valve within it to be leaking.

Well, take note of this.

On the Ford F53 2007 chassis and the 2008 Winnebago SCS AC system (I wrote all that because I don't know who supplies the high and low pressure input/outputs) does not have a Schrader valve on the low side. Its a small ball. So while we had been trying to get one of the Schrader tools to fit, in reality we needed to remove the whole aluminum piece. Its threaded on and is easy to replace.

You'll note that it has squared surfaces for a wrench and when you remove it there is an O-ring to seal it.

Its all back together and hopefully good for a few more years.
