If it's the same product with a different name it makes sense to drop the name. I still don't understand why trailer manufacturers build 10 different lines of the same product (other than the dealer territorial issues).
I don't think the intent is to drop the Itasca "line", just the name. I understand there will still be Meridian and Ellipse, etc, but they will say Winnebago instead of Itasca eventually.
When we were looking (2011-2016) - there was absolutely no difference in features or options when comparing the Meridian and Journey or when comparing the Ellipse and Tour other than colors. I combed the brochures, and there just isn't a difference I could find. Now what the Dealers played on price was probably a Dealer thing.
In 2012 when we were looking for a(2013) Adventurer or a Suncruiser we got the price and option sheets from Winnebago. Even though they were identical in every way except for colors and badging the Suncruiser still had a $3,000.00 higher list price.
The same models today have the identical list prices.

I love my 97 itasca sunrise single slide , thinking on selling it and upgrade , i like the 2000 to 2005 models but i don't know it only has 37xxx miles haha
