I know this is a funny question, but what size is my....

Mattress? It's a queen Sleep Number by Select Comfort. I can't check the size myself as she is in the shop getting a new water tank. I'm shopping for a mattress topper. So a size if you know it would be appreciated, along with any suggestions for the mattress topper.

I'm looking at a eLuxury which gets excellent reviews on Amazon. Made in the USA by Vets and is on sale so I don't want to miss the price.

Standard queen is ~60x80 inches. You want one that wide and at least that long. Sometimes they use a shorter mattress in a MH. It is usually much easier to cut a long one off than to find a short one.

Standard Queen is 60x80. The Sleepnumber in our Vectra is a "short Queen" about 60x74 as I recall... am not at RV so can't measure it. Did require special sheets.. standard Queen fitted were too long.

Mike - the brochure for the '05 Journey shows 60X75 for your 34H floorplan and 60X80 for all the other floorplans. How much do you trust a brochure? Maybe someone with a 34H will jump in here with actual measurements. A call to Winnie would probably verify the 60X75.

Mike - here's a better answer... Take a look at this thread. This will give you the build sheet for your serial number down to the last screw used by Winnie. It will list your mattress and is a handy reference to have.

Yea, I was hoping for someone with the same model and optional mattress to know since they needed to buy sheets and such.

I have looked all over on that brochure for that info, where did you find it?

Edit, never mind, it's in the floor plan just like you said.

It's right on the drawing of the floorplan. I think the build sheet would be much better and a good refeernce for future "stuff"...

I think I will give the 60x80 a try, better to try and tuck the 5" in than shop at CW for every bed item.

I read on the forum a few years ago that someone with a "short" mattress bought a 60X5 piece of foam and placed it at the head of the bed. They were then able to use standard bedding.

That could work

I'm not sure this will work in all cases. The usual reason for a short mattress is that there is no space for a standard mattress when the slide is retracted. The mattress is tight up against the opposite wall or drawers. Adding 5 inches of foam may create too much force against the opposite side and/or stress the slide system.

I should have thought about looking there.

Mine is front to back. I think I will see what it looks and feels like with a standard size topper. The foam inserts I have found designed for the short queen are $75. I will see when I get her back if I'm OK losing 5" of room between the end of the bed and walkway around the bed.
