I don’t see Winnebagos when I Travel
I don’t get it. Just returned from our second long trip. Great Smokie mountains this time.
I still see very few Winnebago Travel trailers out and about. I think we saw one at the last RV park we were at.
Do we travel the wrong time of year, or are there just not many buying them?
I see every other type of travel trailer, but not Winnebago

We see a good number of boondocking Winnie TT's out here in the west. Not a scientific survey, but it does seem that more of the class A's prefer longer term park stays.
We primarily state/fed. Not so much parks. When we stripped our decals, we had the swoops (for lack of better term) painted back on and clear coated. Passed on painting the Winnebago logos because $$$$$. You may run into the occaissional camper who mentions they met a couple who are beta testing one of those new Newmar King Aire "Stealth" models.
Don't know where they would get such an outlandish idea.

We see them everywhere. Many times a full row of different models at some campgrounds.
Anecdotal evidence is generally unreliable.

Winnebago 2022 market share is about 13 percent and there were about 500,000 RVs shipped to dealers in 2022. That market share stat was stated by Winnebago Industries and may include Grand Design and Newmar brands, too. That would be about 65,000 motorized shipped to dealers. That seems plausible for all classes.
I see lots of Winnebagos in my travels!
Winnebago has produced over 500,000 motorhomes since they started selling motorized in 1966.

I think we need a good set of Travel Bingo cards for RVs:

RV Bingo cards for RVs would be an interesting idea as far as kids go. Would get them away from the phone a bit

Maybe it has to do with the location of the dealers? We have big Winnebago dealers in Arizona and we see many Winnebago trailers, as well as motorhomes on the road all the time in the Western States. When the micro mini came out we kept seeing them everywhere which is how we learned about them and it was one of the first RVs we considered.

I have a 12 aspect and they are few and far between as to bing seen. In 10 years have seen less that 20 I would say. As to the bigger rvs's mainly see a lot of the older ones and the newer have seen a few but not much of them. I think many may have become informed of quality issues and have gone over to other brands I dont know. My aspect is suspect in that the insulation seems to be lacking. Coldheat in from over cab (wb says yes it was insulated??) and that items in storage areas suffer heat damage while travelling. I think paying for a name has maybe caught up?

I don't know about not seeing them on the road but, on Winnieowners, there are a lot more TT threads than there were a year or to ago.
